The South Allegheny School District is taking the steps necessary to prevent the spread of the H1N1 flu virus in order to keep our students, staff, and the community safe from infection.
The South Allegheny School District will continue to ensure that commonly touched surfaces such as desk tops and door knobs will be cleaned and disinfected daily by the custodial staff. Cafeteria workers will clean and disinfect the lunch table tops and the serving lines between each lunch period. Students will have the opportunity to wash their hands before and after lunch and hand sanitizers will be located and made available throughout each of the buildings. Teaching students to cough into their elbow and not their hand will be stressed.
