Students in art class are encouraged to work well, with each other and individually.  They are encouraged to work inventively and to use their time wisely in class.  This is the general rubric.

Art project shows outstanding craftsmanship.   The project is beautifully and patiently done.  It is as good as hard work could make it. 

 

 

 

Art project shows original, great idea, never seen before. 

Student figured out solutions on own.

 

Student worked in class entire period.  Did not need to be reminded to focus on task.  Table conversation was focused on art project.

 

 

 

Proficient

 

 

Art project is complete. Could use some finishing touches.

 

 

Art project shows above-average craftsmanship.  The project is well done. 

 

Art project shows a good  idea that has been used before, but in a new way.  Student tried figuring out solutions on own before seeking help.
