Our class is very lucky to be a co-teaching class, which means we have two teachers for Reading and Math- Mrs. Rea and Ms. Gault! This is very exciting and will be extremely beneficial to all the students!
Starting the first week of school we will begin our Book Club where students will read books and complete a Book Review for their classmates to read. Each time a book review is completed that student may pick from the Treasure Chest and get a sticker for their book chart. Happy Reading!!! Our class has a ticket behavior system. Here is how it works...each student will receive 5 tickets at the beginning of the week. Students will owe a particular amount of tickets for certain behaviors. If a student loses a ticket, they have the opportunity to earn them back through good behavior and following the rules. Please review the tickets owed chart with your child to ensure they understand the consequences. The goal of this ticket system is for the students to re-evaluate their behavior and monitor self control and discipline. Last year we graphed the Pittsburgh Penguins' game results and they won the Stanley Cup!! We will continue this trend and do the same this year. Maybe our graph will continue to be good luck as well as an excellent learning tool for not only our class, but the entire school as well! Go Pens!!!
