Welcome to South Allegheny Elementary PTA's webpage. 2007 - 2008 PTA Officers Dear South Allegheny Elementary Families & Staff, This will be the last newsletter of the 2007-2008 school year, and my last letter as SAE PTA President. I want to take this opportunity to tell you what an honor it has been to serve the past 3 years as your PTA President of such an amazing Board, Association, and school! We really do have the BEST school because of our dedicated staff, committed parents, and awesome students! I became involved in PTA 9 years ago when my oldest son, Robby, was in Kindergarten @ Manor Elem. I was one of the parents who came in to help with anything but didn't want to take an office. The year after our new school was built a friend talked me into taking an office with her and I have been an officer ever since. It has been one of the greatest experiences I have had! I have met many wonderful people, and learned many things. I am greatful to have had the opportunity to serve as your PTA President. There are so many people that I would like to recognize, but first I would like to thank our Principal, Alisa King. She came to SAE this past year, not knowing any of the staff, students, parents, or PTA, but made this year wonderful for all of us. She has brought many new and exciting ideas with her. Mrs. King, I wish you many happy years here at SAE! I would also like to thank the administration, faculty, & staff of SAE. WOW! What a remarkable group of people you all are. You men and women put so much time, dedication and love into our children’s daily lives. Thank you for everything you do! It has been a pleasure working with all of you over the past 5 years. On a more personal note, an extra special thank you to Mrs. Pliska, Mrs. Doughty, Mr. Schork, Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Zombek, and Mr. Pascarella. Each of you have had either Robby or Timmy in your classes. Mr. Schork & Mrs. Thomas have had both of my children, and all of you have made each year a wonderful one. Thank you for touching both my childrens & my life. Linda & Kathy, what would I have done without the both of you? You have always been there to help us out. Our school is blessed to have the both of you. I will miss you both. Tammy, our wonderful custodian. You are more than just a parent, you’re like wonderwoman! Thank you a million times for all the "extra" things you have done for us – (there’s been way too many to mention!) You are the BEST! Next, I’d like to thank the many parents who have chaired a committee and those of you who continually volunteer your time by always lending a hand at a school or family event and wherever/whenever needed. What AWESOME parents you are! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Helen, our extrodinary newsletter & yearbook lady. You are amazing! I wouldn't want to imagine what it would have been like without you. You have been here, with your camera, for everything. Thank you for the past 4 years you have dedicated to SAE and this chair. You are leaving some really big shoes to follow in! I know you will be greatly missed! A very special thank you to my fellow PTA Officers: Trish, Leslie, Adrienne, Dana, & Maggie I could not have ask for a better group of people to work with. I truly appreciate everything each of you have done throughout the past few years. There is no "I" in PTA, without each of you, we could not have done all of the awesome things for the children of SAE. Thank you for your time & dedication to our children and also for helping whenever I called upon each of you. Lastly, I would like to thank my husband Tim & my boys, Rob & Timmy, for your understanding, support, and love. Thanks to my boys for the countless times you came to school to copy, staple, and stuff mailboxes hours after school was over with me, and for the millions of other things, you really didn't want to do - but did anyway, that I recruited you guys to do. You have both given so much time & help with PTA over the years and I am greatful to have been blessed with such wonderful children. Tim, thank you for your understanding these past 3 years and for always being there for me and the countless times you have helped me when I really needed it even when you were tired of hearing about PTA! I love you all! GOOD LUCK to all of our 6th Graders as you journey onto Middle School. Because of my son Timmy, I have had the pleasure of getting to know many of you over these past 5 years, and I wish you all the best. As we enter the last few days before Summer Vacation, I would like to inform you that our annual Fun Day is scheduled for May 22nd. If you would like to volunteer, please contact me @ 412-672-9664 Again, I would like to thank you for allowing me to work with you and our great staff! I wish you all a happy and safe summer vacation! Best regards, Bobbi Dansak PTA President 2005-2008 2008-2010 PTA OFFICERS -
