Attendance of all after school rehearsals and performances as well as the two weeks of pre-camp and band camp in August is mandatory.  Its purpose is to enable the students in each of these two squads to rehearse their part of the marching show with the regular marching band. Auxiliary skills, discipline, personal responsibility, group cooperation and goal achievement, pride and self-confidence are emphasized.  Because of the unique character of the band that is so performance oriented, students who complete band camp will not be allowed to withdraw from the band front until the end of the season without the band director’s permission. http://saband.org/handbook
