Description: The course is designed around activities focused on the development of team sports, individual sports, and personal fitness. The content is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills in order to maintain a physically active lifestyle. All activities included will help develop the student’s physical, emotional, and social well being.

Description: This course offers the student an active and personal approach to learning skills, attitudes and behaviors needed to make wellness a life long habit. Topics included in this course and Drug and Alcohol Awareness, First Aid and C.P.R., Human Sexuality, Communicable Diseases, Emotional issues, and an introduction to Anatomy and Physiology.

Description: Throughout this course we will be engaged in different health related physical activities. We will work on different aerobic units such as dance, yoga, step, etc. Dances and yoga sequences will be developed with students’ consideration on what health related fitness component(s) the students would like to work on.

* A grade of 80 percent of more in Physical Education during the previous school year. This course is not a replacement for the State mandated Physical Education credit.
Description: This course will provide students the basics of the game of basketball. Students will simulate real games with appropriate rules taking place. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about officiating and the work opportunities after graduation.

Prerequisite: Instructor’s recommendation Difficulty Rating: P/F
Description: A collaborative effort between teachers, students in the Life Skills Program, and high school students to improve the physical, social, and emotional health of all involved. The life skill athletes will work directly with the Partners on a daily basis in a structured environment focused on a variety of physical activities.
