    MISSION STATEMENT

In 1996, over 140 young men and women finished their journey at South Allegheny, heard their final Alma Mater by Dr. Robert Piatt, and proceeded to enter the next phase of their lives.  Some became businessmen and women, doctors, lawyers, trade workers, computer technicians and analysts, educators, and numerous other fields, taking on the challenges of life head-on and doing what Gladiators do: fight to survive.  Many have thrived and enjoyed various levels of success in their lives.  A lot of that was built on our past experiences, both good and bad, as students and community members of the South Allegheny School District.  We are now in a position to look back and assess our lives, as well as take a look at the prospects for the future of upcoming graduating Gladiators.

Fast forward to 2015.  The Class of 1996 celebrated the anniversary of their 20th Homecoming.  The reunion planning committee decided to begin an annual scholarship fund to help future generations of Gladiators achieve their goals.  As a result of donations from classmates and contributions from the scholarship trustees, the Class of 1996 has continued to be able to raise enough funds to provide two scholarships, one male and one female, future graduating classes.
