Dr. Lisa N. Duval has been the Superintendent of the South Allegheny School District since 2018. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from The Pennsylvania State University, her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Drexel University, and her Doctorate of Education and Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility in Administrative and Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. With over 28 years of experience in education, Dr. Duval has held multiple positions varying from classroom teacher to building principal at both middle and high school levels.
She is both a student and teacher-centered leader, who works collaboratively with stakeholders in order to bring people together to make decisions for the betterment of the District. She strives daily to fulfill the values and missions of the South Allegheny Board of Directors, and along with their support and guidance, has been able to make significant strides in overall growth and improvement during her tenure.
A graduate of South Allegheny herself, Dr. Duval has been married to her high school sweetheart, Ed, for 28 years. They have two children, Jake and MacKenzie, both of whom are also SASD graduates.
