HS Administration
Dear South Allegheny School Community –
It is my honor to introduce myself as the new Principal of South Allegheny High School! I hope this message finds everyone well-rested and excited for an extraordinary school year. I am beyond thrilled to be a part of this student-focused and innovative school community, and I look forward to working together with everyone.
The 2024-25 school year will mark my 21st year in education. I began my career as a Social Studies teacher at Oliver High School and Milliones – University Prep 6-12, which are both a part of Pittsburgh Public Schools. As a school administrator, I worked as an Assistant Principal and Co-Principal at Propel McKeesport K-8, and as the Middle School Director at Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12. For the past seven years, I have served as the Principal at Langley PreK-8. Last but certainly not least, I am the father of three energetic and amazing kids. I value a school community that is focused on the growth and development of the whole child. I firmly believe that a strong school community allows for every student to possess the necessary skills to be a productive citizen, as our children are our future!
As I begin this position, it is my intention to both “listen” and “learn.” I welcome your positive input, and I look forward to placing our students at the core of our collaborative work. Here is to the many successes of the 2024-25 school year!
With gratitude,
Stephen Sikon, Principal
