Gladiator Academy Administration

Hello, I am Chuck Michael, Director of Special Education and Principal of Gladiator Academy for the South Allegheny School District.

My responsibilities include overseeing special education programming for students in grades K–12 and serving as the Principal of Gladiator Academy. Prior to joining South Allegheny, I served in a variety of educational roles, including classroom teacher, middle school and elementary assistant principal, elementary principal, middle school principal, and director of special education. These experiences have provided me with the opportunity to work with students, families, and educators at every level of K–12 education.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education in 2002, Master’s Degree in Administration in 2007, and Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility in 2013 from California University of Pennsylvania. I believe strongly in lifelong learning and continue to participate in coursework and professional development that supports both my professional and personal growth.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Gina, and our two children. I am also active in my community and church and enjoy coaching youth sports.

I am proud to be part of the South Allegheny School District and look forward to continuing to serve our students, families, staff, and the entire Gladiator family.
