General Science Teacher - Secondary
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for secondary general science classes
- Teach students about various scientific concepts, including biochemistry, organic chemistry, genetics, and laboratory techniques
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles
- Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and projects
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and share best practices
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of science education and incorporate relevant research into teaching practices
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of biochemistry, organic chemistry, genetics, and other scientific disciplines
- Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning for secondary science education
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and conducting experiments
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to students
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and student assessments
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students' interest in science
- Experience in higher education teaching or scientific research is a plus
